Steam Workshop does not delete these files, you got to do it manually like this. Unsubscribed addons stack up in the folder without you knowing it!!! In this tutorial I show you how to remove those addons and game modes, as well as the server downloads that also take a lot of space. Go into the workshop tab and click garrys mod, go to ' my subscripitons' and unsubscribe from them all, then go into your addons folder and delete them all. Um try turning off the cloud sync for gmod then delete the addons folder.
Unsub, or uninstall from all of them, then delete the gmas in the addons folder.
